Description from the seller
France. Paris. 10 Francs. 1967.
Value: 10 Francs.
Year: 1967.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ. Reverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE · 10 FRANCS · 1967.
- Grade: MS66 (PCGS)
Coin of the Fifth French Republic, inspired by the classic design of Augustin Dupré and revisited by Jean-Jacques Barre, which shows on the obverse the famous allegory of the Republic: a central male figure (Hercules) representing strength, flanked by two female figures, symbolizing Justice and Liberty. On the reverse, a crown of oak and laurel branches surrounds the denomination and the year. This issue is one of the most iconic pieces of modern French numismatics and highly valued for its symbolic charge and neoclassical aesthetic. The 'Accent' variant corresponds to a subtle difference in the typographic design of the reverse, recognized by advanced collectors.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
