Extremely rare Viking pendant amulet of the mythological Scandinavian dragon Fafnir.
Viking mythological dragon-shaped amulet. The dragon was a popular creature among the Vikings; the most famous of all was the Fafnir Dragon.
Origin: Scandinavia
Material: beautiful bronze with a smooth patina.
Status: Very good / see photos
Date: 9th to 11th centuries AD - Medieval era
Size: 43 x 20 mm
Weighs 17.12 grams.
Origin
Purchased by the current owner in 2004 in Vienna, Austria, at an antique market.
Collected since: 1980s.
Previous owners' history: Old Austrian private collection.
The provider guarantees that he/she/they acquired this piece legally.
