The eighth figure in the collection of the Imaginary Museum is a reproduction of a vessel in the shape of a human face belonging to the ancient Mochica civilization, which thrived between the 2nd and 7th centuries on the coast of Peru. This pre-Columbian culture predates the Incas. This piece from the Tintin Imaginary Museum is part of the documentation that Hergé used to develop the adventure of The Temple of the Sun, specifically for an archaeological relic on page 45.
