Description from the seller

Taranis was a Celtic deity associated with thunder, lightning, and the sky.

Symbolism: Taranis embodies the power of thunder and lightning as divine manifestations, protector of the community but also feared for his destructive power.

Attributes: it is represented with solar wheels (symbol of the cycle and cosmic power).

Coin with three bronze rings used as a medium of exchange by the ancient Celts before coins were minted, a rare type.

Celtic proto-coins are ancient relics that offer insight into the early monetary systems of Celtic tribes. These primitive forms of currency are older than standardized coins and often consisted of irregular metal pieces, such as bars or rings. They were used for trade and exchange within Celtic communities, representing the early stages of economic development. Today, these proto-coins are valuable artifacts for historians, shedding light on the economic and cultural practices of ancient Celtic societies and their transition to more sophisticated monetary systems.
