Bronze pendant amulet from ancient Rome with a beautifully stylized frog shape, symbolizing harmony, fertility, libertinism, and the goddess Aphrodite (Venus).
Absolutely intact and still usable.
Very rare, with very beautiful details and a very elegant ornamentation, perfect silver and very well toned.
Material: bronze / smooth, pleasant patina
Condition: Very good / Usable / See photos
Date: 1st - 3rd century AD
Measurements: 20 x 14 mm
Weight: 1.54 grams
Origin
Purchased by the current owner in 2004 in Vienna, Austria, at the art and antiques market.
Collected since: 1980s
Previous owners history: private collection, formed in 1980.
The seller will ensure that all necessary permits are processed.
