A desk weather station by Lufft Company of Stuttgart, an Art Déco copper and glass case featuring a large semicircular barometer, a hemispheric hygrometer and a thermometer, with a compass in the upper section, dating to 1930–1940 and not in working order.
Description from the seller
A modernist desktop weather station from Lufft Metall-Barometer Fabrik GmbH, Stuttgart,
designed around 1935 in Italian.
An extremely rare model in Italian.
A fantastic original item in the classic Art Deco style from the famous Lufft Company of Stuttgart.
A beautiful and precise antique meteorological instrument in a copper and glass case.
This extraordinary piece features a large barometer with a semicircular window, a small hemispherical hygrometer, and a thermometer; a compass is also located in the upper section.
This superb object has been regarded as the Rolls-Royce of instruments for meteorological clocks, and it is a marvel in terms of precision engineering.
The famous Lufft barometer factory was founded in Fellbach in 1881.
I don’t have the expertise to say whether it still works, but the condition is practically excellent and perfect. No damage to the glass anyway, simply faded in some parts (the photos are an integral part of the description; you will receive the item you are observing).
Tracked and insured shipment with super precise packaging. Good luck with the auction, everyone.
