Description from the seller
Gladius/Pugio is a Roman sword; it was not only used by legionaries but also by gladiators, regardless of their backgrounds. It served as an amulet, offering protection against injuries they might face in the Colosseum Arena.
It is said that it was developed in the late 3rd century BC from a type of sword used by the Iberian Celtiberians and became the standard infantry weapon of the Roman army.
Talismans were used by Roman soldiers as symbols of their strength and bravery.
Material: bronze / beautiful patina
