Ancient Roman bronze seal ring from the 1st century AD, named Seal Ring with Hippocampus, with an oval bezel engraved with a left-facing hippocampus; outside diameter about 21.6 mm, inside diameter 15–18.3 mm, bezel about 13.5 mm, in good solid condition with a dark brown patina and cuprite spots.

Roman bronze seal ring. The oval bezel is engraved with a hippocampus (seahorse) to left. Wide shoulders and a slightly tapering plain ring band.
Outside diameter: ± 21,6 mm
Inside diameter: ± 15 - 18,3 mm
Bezel: ± 13,5 mm
Condition: good and solid condition. Dark brown patina with spots of cuprite. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
Certificate of Authenticity (PDF) is available upon request for lots with a hammer price of €100 or higher.
