A Feuille Comtoise clock from France, estimated to 1800–1850, with an iron case, pressed and polished brass, an enamel dial, mechanical movement, 8-day power reserve, and half-hour bell striking in good used condition.

Comtoise clock with early sun and bell.

The sun cup above a cup/vase is flanked on the left and right side by two watwerspuwers.
full horns from which acanthus seems to grow.
They form the closure at the foot of the facade.
Early dried edge with a scalloped base and a ball with tendrils as corner decoration.
Type of dial: low-thick-compact.

Period: 1815-1825

Authentic pressed Sun-winders.
The watch is in good working order / striking.
