With an excellent selection of his most emblematic works up to 1994.
Some occasionally come up for sale at international auctions and achieve record prices for living artists in the 21st century.
The series in shades of blue depicting allegorical boats on the Niger River, the almost empty African deserts, scorched by sunlight. The impressive bullfighting scenes with bullrings full of power and afternoon light. As well as some early works from the 80s that launched him to fame.
Also, the well-known drawings with paper eaten by termites and animal sculptures.
Also the allegorical still lifes with fruits, plant elements and dead animals, already in the late 90s.
--It should be noted that both exhibitions toured several European and/or American capitals.
Two books for lovers of neo-figurative art from the last decades of the 20th century, collectors, or contemporary art professionals who appreciate the work of this painter and the movement he represents. In my opinion, a great acquisition opportunity.
