Description from the seller
Original edition of this 21st issue of the magazine 'Arts et Métiers graphiques,' featuring reproductions of posters by André Derain, Vlaminck, Valentin Le Campion, and Tchimoukow.
Bound with a paperback cover and abundantly illustrated.
Arts et Métiers graphiques (AMG) is a French bi-monthly art magazine dedicated to graphic arts and photography, which existed from 1927 to 1939. Sixty-eight issues were published.
It thus addresses various fields of printing—typography, advertising, text, image, and photography—and becomes a kind of showcase for the Deberny-Peignot house. By collaborating with prestigious figures, from Lucien Vogel to Cassandre, the magazine also stands out for the exceptional quality of its presentation, thanks to the use of different papers and the care taken in its layout and typographic research.
Overall, well preserved: some wear scratches on the caps and jaws, slightly cracked. Hinge in good condition. Interior fresh and without foxing. The Tchimoukow design on metallic paper is damaged (affected by humidity and was glued against the previous page).
