Beautiful antiquity, superb crusty patina

"Ekpo" means "ghost" and also names the masculine secret society responsible for invoking and interceding with the ancestors.

The Eket worship the sun and the moon.
Their round masks are used during the rites of the Ekpolors society in the sowing seasons, and they represent the union of the sun and the moon that gives birth to the World.
