Fiat 500 C Topolino, 1953, with Italian registration.
Description from the seller
OVERVIEW
The Fiat Topolino hardly needs an introduction—especially in this striking colour combination. As immortalised in Paolo Conte’s famous 1970s song, this is the* legendary “Amaranto Topolino”, a true icon of Italian motoring heritage.
Beautifully preserved, this example is finished in the most classic and desirable livery: black and amaranto. Apart from a few tiny marks visible in the photos, the paintwork remains in excellent condition, showing a deep and even shine. The original chrome bumpers are still fitted and are structurally sound, with no dents or corrosion.
Adding to its authenticity, the car still wears its original black “Roma” iron number plates, a rare and charming detail.
CONDITION
The interior is completely original, featuring black upholstery that perfectly complements the elegant exterior. Even the fabric covering the rear bench is the factory original, showing only gentle signs of age that add character rather than detract from it.
The interior rubber mats and fittings are in good shape, and when the floor mats are lifted, there is no trace of rust whatsoever. The underside is remarkably solid—perhaps even better preserved than the top. The car’s structure is entirely sound, with no holes or corrosion.
The exhaust system has been replaced by the previous owner, and the car now runs beautifully. Mechanically, it performs excellently: the engine starts instantly, runs smoothly with no leaks, the gearbox shifts precisely, and the braking system works as it should.
All dashboard instruments—simple but charming—are fully functional, and no components are missing or damaged.
DOCUMENTATION:
Comes with complete Italian registration documents.
The vehicle is located in Montemor-o-Novo, Évora, Portugal.
Please contact Catawiki to arrange a viewing or to request additional photos or videos of the car starting and running.
Shipping is only possible by mutual agreement.
All shipping costs are to be borne by the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
