Kerstgroep zonder Maria en Jozef – hout – vermoedelijk Val Gardena, Zuid-Tirol, Italië, midden 20e eeuw

Charmante groep handgesneden houten kerstfiguren uit Val Gardena, bestaande uit het kindje Jezus in de kribbe, drie koningen, herders, twee schapen, een os en een ezel. De hoogte van de grootste figuren, de koningen, bedraagt ongeveer 12 à 13 cm.

De kerstgroep werd met oog voor detail vervaardigd in lindehout, een materiaal dat traditioneel gebruikt wordt in de Zuid-Tiroolse houtsnijkunst. De natuurlijke houtkleur en zachte modellering brengen rust en harmonie in het geheel.

Hoewel de figuren van Maria en Jozef ontbreken, vormt dit ensemble een prachtig en sfeervol geheel, geschikt als aanvulling op een bestaande kerststal of als zelfstandige groep.

De figuren verkeren in goede staat met lichte sporen van ouderdom en gebruik.
