Specimen: Nightjar lithographic plate of Caprimulgus europaeus by the Von Wright brothers and Bror Halberg, published 1917–1929 by A. Börtzells as an illustrated Swedish edition with loose page binding, measuring 375 × 280 mm and in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Fantastic, large-sized lithographic plate by Von Wright brothers with a European nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus) - a master in camouflage and one of my own favourite birds. If you have not yet experienced the nightjars' churring trill at dusk, you need to look for them when they are back in May, and you will get an experience to remember!
The antique prints of Von Wright brothers are fantastic artworks and, in my eyes, some of the greatest antique bird illustrations ever made. The larger size, antique colour, and condition of the paper make this print perfect for framing.
The condition is really good, considering it was printed between 1917-1929 (in Stockholm). Please look carefully at the photos to see the condition of the plate.
From my private collection. It will be shipped in safe packaging, created for prints (in the same way as I prefer to receive my own purchases / prints)
