During the era of Napoleon, it was permitted for Napoleonic prisoners to make objects in prisons to sell for goods to the local population. For making these objects, materials such as bone and wood were often used, which were readily available at the time.
This game box for card games, dominoes, or dice is richly decorated with cribbage details and features three sailors in a pub with a French lily at the top and bottom.

The cribbage box also contains nine mini dice made from bone, each 0.8 centimeters in size.
Also included in the cribbage box is a complete set of 28 mini domino stones. The domino stones measure 2.5 x 1.3 centimeters.
