These old American bonds are part of American history. Their historical significance is great, and they are very valuable.
This is an authentic savings bond of the
Confederate States of America from 1862, dated August 19, 1861. This bond was issued under the law of the Confederate Congress on August 19, 1861, in the denomination of $1,000. The bond is hand-dated October 8, 1862, with beautiful old ink. At the top of the bond is an image of the Virgin with the horn of plenty, with ships and factories in the background.
According to the book, 2,919 of these bonds have been issued.
American Civil War CSA (Confederate States of America) 1863 bond of five hundred dollars with attached interest notes (coupons). Bond number 15563. Seventeen dollars interest per coupon for the six-month interest on a $500 bond. The coupons are payable every six months and mature from July 1868 to July 1865. Total dimensions: approximately 35 x 35 cm.
