Mold (9) - antique shoe molds

Nice lot of antique shoe lasts, i.e. shoe lasts, in various sizes.

The lasts were and are still used by shoemakers for the production and repair of shoes.

The wooden versions are often used for making custom-made shoes.

Shoe lasts have been used since antiquity. The Greeks and Romans used them as early as around 400 BC.

They are all original and quite old and in very good condition. Some have metal fittings on the sole, including one with a shoe-size gauge.
