Very beautiful and complete set of 8 gold-plated brass Buddha images. Purchased in Thailand in the late 1980s.
These Buddha images represent the days of the week. Only Wednesday is split into a morning and an evening.
The Buddha's of the week
• Monday (Buddha of Protection): A standing Buddha symbolizing peace, with the right hand raised and palm facing forward. It signifies seriousness, good memory, and a love of travel.
Tuesday (Buddha of the Truth): Lying on his right side, head resting on his hand. Symbolizes courage, activity, and broad interest.
