Description from the seller
For sale is a set of 9 blocks of four (block 4) from Ethiopia, originating from the issuance celebrating the country's liberation in 1942, after the Italian occupation ended and Emperor Haile Selassie I returned to power.
All the stamps feature the original, red print 'ETHIOPIE' from 1942 (the so-called Liberation / Re-Occupation Overprint).
Set contents
4 blocks – Haile Selassie I (portrait series 1930–1936), denominations:
½, 1, 2, 8 Mehalek + 1⅛ Thalers
5 blocks – Empress Zewditu (issue 1917–1930), denominations:
½, 1, 2, 3 Thalers, etc.
All blocks are in good collectible condition (MNH/MH), with complete perforation and no paper damage.
The prints are irregular, matte, and consistent with the original manual technique from 1942.

These are not later reprints from the 50s and 60s (which exist on the market and are worthless).
Original typographic print, not offset.
The print ink is absorbed, matte, with visible differences between sheets.
