Description from the seller
Description
A splendid and authentic Hereke silk carpet, handcrafted in Turkey with exceptional craftsmanship and artistic finesse. Fully made from natural silk on a silk warp and weft, this carpet displays the characteristic shine and refinement that distinguish the finest Hereke carpets.
The design is centered around a flower-shaped vase flanked by two peacocks, symbols of beauty, prosperity, and harmony. Delicately woven floral borders frame the central motif, executed in an elegant color palette of warm terracotta, olive green, ruby red, ivory, and gold.
This small-sized carpet reflects the mastery of the Hereke weavers, who have been producing silk court-quality carpets for the Ottoman palace since the 19th century. Due to its compact size and refined pattern, it is ideally suited to be displayed as a decorative wall hanging or table piece.
