Description from the seller

Charming pair of miniature display cases from the Napoléon III era, French work from the Palais Royal (Paris) around 1870.

First topic
Silver and gold-plated bronze donkey, holding two cut crystal perfume bottles, with gold rings, and silver caps (evident hallmarks, and the caps have been tested by a professional and are confirmed to be silver, but only the caps).

White marble base and engraved floral motifs. Please note, the caps have undergone some deformations.

2. Second subject
Gilt bronze goat pulling a cart, with a basket decorated with a hand-painted porcelain medallion depicting a bouquet of flowers.
Base in white marble as well.

Delicate and refined work typical of luxury souvenirs from the Palais Royal, sold in Parisian boutiques in the 19th century.
Very decorative pieces that are beautifully cohesive when paired.

Dimensions: approx. 8 x 6.5 x 7 cm (bottles), 10 x 5 x 5 cm medallion.
Materials: gold and silver metal, cut crystal, silver, white marble, painted porcelain.
Period: around 1870
Origin: France, Palais Royal
Condition: good overall condition, signs of wear from use, gilding faded in places, caps complete and crack-free but deformed.

Shipping: professional and secure packaging with international tracking.
