Friday the 13th is a 1980 American horror film directed by Sean S. Cunningham. Together with Halloween, it is one of the classics and triggers of the first wave of American slasher films in the early 1980s. With eleven sequels, Friday the 13th is the founder of the longest-lived horror film series ever.
