Very beautiful pair of Art Deco bookends.
The sculptures are made of régule with a patina in gold bronze, black, and silver gray.
They depict two elegant birds standing upright, two beautiful pigeons. They have a very graceful posture, standing well on their legs, with their throats puffed out as during courtship displays. It is this throat that is in contact with the books and holds them.
Beautiful expression and a lot of details, especially regarding the bird legs and their heads.
