AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Fine and rare, artist-signed LeCoultre Atmos V, model CHINOISE (Marina), depicting a Chinese landscape. According to LeCoultre documents, the watch was offered from 1963 to 1975 under the name Models Plexi Grave in four different motifs and two colors. Ref. 5805, in white. The artist named Marina developed a special technique of engraving hollows into the plastic block and coloring them, creating a three-dimensional effect when viewed from the front. Here is a Chinese landscape. It is often mistakenly believed and widely spread that Marina always features maritime motifs. The Plexiglas plates, except for the roof plate, are all hand-engraved and finished with gold color. Thus, each watch is a unique piece. Most of this type of watch in Plexiglas shows slight stress cracks, but this one is barely visible. Caliber 526. Excellent condition. The brass parts of the case and movement are newly chrome-plated. Comes with a one-year warranty.
