Original edition of this very rare and highly sought-after work, which is seldom found complete. Champfleury, who was the curator of the Sèvres Museum, wrote the preface. It is enriched with 62 plates, drawn and lithographed by Barillet.

Our copy is enriched with a sending from Fieffé (see photos) and the original mock-up of the title page, hand-drawn in pencil.

A title page in four states, a subscription leaf. A second title printed in four states, with the original layout. A 50-page booklet and a supplement published in 1885 by XXIp. And the continuation of the following 62 plates:

Freemasonry: 2 plates, one of which is double-printed on pink paper. / At the Balloons: 3 plates.
