All of this is used, and of course it bears the traces of that, but as Märklin's reputation suggests, it hardly affects the operation.
It varies from very good to reasonable condition. Some rails are equipped with cables for use as connection tracks.

If there are original packages, they may have storage marks here and there and could also have slight damage from opening and closing.
