Mercedes S550L V8 5.5l, 2008.
Description from the seller
General Information
This is a Mercedes S-Class 550 L equipped with a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine developing 388 horsepower, prepared by the renowned German tuner Lorinser. Only thirty-three units were sold worldwide at launch, making it a rare and highly sought-after model. The vehicle was imported from Japan in 2020 and belongs to the category of high-end limousines. It can also run on ethanol.
Lorinser has been renowned in the Mercedes-Benz universe for over thirty years and enjoys international recognition, with dealerships located in more than forty countries. Its clientele includes many personalities from the worlds of sports, show business, and motorsport.
Bodywork and Painting
The bodywork and paint are in good overall condition. A few micro-scratches are observed on the front bumper, as well as a small chip located between the hood and the bumper, but nothing that detracts from the vehicle's overall appearance.
Technique
The vehicle received recent maintenance in 2024, including the replacement of the front brake discs with Bosch parts, front and rear brake pads of the same brand, low-profile tires on both axles, and the replacement of the suspension compressor. The car operates perfectly and shows no notable mechanical issues.
The technical inspection mentions a minor defect related to the deterioration of a silentbloc connecting to the chassis or axle on the front left or front right side.
Interior
The interior is in good overall condition. All controls and equipment are functioning properly. The leather upholstery is in excellent condition, with no cracks, and has been maintained with suitable products. Comfort is enhanced by high-end features such as electric and heated front seats with memory, advanced air conditioning system, electrically adjustable steering wheel, and a carefully designed ambient lighting.
Equipment
The vehicle is equipped with an electric sunroof, a soft-close system for gentle door closure, acoustic double-glazed windows, heated, ventilated, and electrically adjustable front seats with memory, as well as a set of side curtains and an electric rear window.
The air suspension is controlled and adjustable. Driving aids include front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. The vehicle is equipped with cruise control and speed limiter, multiple driving modes — Eco, Comfort, and Sport —, as well as xenon headlights and an alarm system. The built-in GPS, ambient lighting, and welcome lighting complete the package. The mirrors are de-icing, and a spare wheel is included.
Documents
The technical inspection is valid until November 13, 2025. The registration document is in order, and the repair history since 2021 accompanies the vehicle.
Kidnapping
The withdrawal can be made on site, or the buyer can opt for a transporter, with the costs being at their expense.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
