Rare and authentic Holmegaard 'Fried Egg' Akva bowl/ashtray in a deep cobalt blue color, designed by top designer Per Lütken and produced by the glass manufacturer Holmegaard in Denmark.
This exceptional piece of art glass dates from 1968 and is hand-signed and dated on the bottom: “Holmegaard, PL – 1968”, which significantly enhances its authenticity and collectible value.
The iconic “Fried Egg” design from the Akva series is characterized by a raised center with an optically recessed ring around it. Due to the varying glass thicknesses, an fascinating play of light, color, and depth emerges. The intense cobalt blue hue gives the object a luxurious and timeless appearance.
