An elegant 19th-century view of the Piazza della Santissima Annunziata in Florence, one of the most harmonious Renaissance squares in Italy. In the foreground is the equestrian statue of Ferdinando I de' Medici, at the center of the square, surrounded by Brunelleschi's famous loggias. Figures in 19th-century dress enliven the scene and lend the view a historical charm.

The print is entirely hand-colored with period tempera/watercolor, featuring warm tones, soft shading, and highly detailed architectural details. The work reflects the typical style of Italian views popular with travelers and foreign collectors in the pre-unification period.

Very good: vivid colors, thick paper, no flaws. Slight smudge on the back, not visible on the front.
