Impressive monumental majolica vase with a finely modelled female figure in high relief, richly decorated with a deep cobalt-blue glaze and gilt ornamental elements. The front features a sculptural depiction of a young woman holding a cornucopia.
Hand-painted gilt signature “G. Mortreux Fᵀ Paris” on the body confirms its Parisian origin and links the piece to late 19th-century Parisian art workshops known for luxurious decorative majolica.
The vase is mounted on its original solid bronze base, not spelter or cast iron — a significant quality indicator. This combination of a large sculptural majolica body and a bronze stand is rare and highly collectible.
