A complete 118 piece Art Deco silver plated Carthage set by Ercuis from 1930–1940, in excellent condition with its original case and refined finish.

Exceptional silver-plated cutlery set from the Art Deco period, crafted by the French Orfevrerie Ercuis. The cutlery is executed in the 'Carthage' model — featuring typical Art Deco patterns on the front and back of the pieces. The model was introduced in the 1930s. The cutlery set comes in its original case with three inlay trays where the pieces can be stored perfectly. The entire set is suitable for at least ten diners and consists of a total of 118 pieces, namely:
10 tablespoons (21cm)
12 dinner plates (24.5 cm)
- 14 dinner forks (21cm)
12 vismessen (20.5 cm)
12 visvorken (17.5cm)
- 12 appetizer/lunch spoons (18.5 cm)
12 appetizer/lunch knives (20.5cm)
- 11 appetizer/lunch forks (18cm)
- 12 coffee spoons (14cm)

The cutlery is in excellent condition and has been re-polished by us. This has removed most of the superficial scratches, making the cutlery shine like new again. Some signs of wear remain. The silver plating is completely intact.

Ercuis is one of France's most famous silversmiths, with a long history dating back to 1867. The company was a purveyor to the French Navy and, in the 1950s, supplied luxury hotels and cruise ships on the French Riviera.
