Autographed letter by Roger Martin du Gard in French, titled Lettre autographe signée - 4 pages, 1925, France, dimensions 13.7 × 21.5 cm, in très bon condition.
Description from the seller
Handwritten signed letter by Roger Martin du Gard, dated August 6, 1925.
Written in black ink on a double sheet of watermarked laid paper with an embossed header 'Bellême, Orne'.
The novelist details the progress of the work on his property, Le Tertre: choice of a pond, issues with earthworks, recurring technical problems (water source, masonry, drainage), slow plasterers, team delays, lack of coordination, as well as the need to accelerate certain operations in his absence. Several interventions by workers and contractors are mentioned, with a precise and pragmatic tone.
I deeply regret getting involved in the Bélier venture. The Leboeuf house is below everything.
Dimensions: 13.7 x 21.5 cm
Condition: Good condition. See photos for more details.
Number of pages: 4 pages
