AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Wonderful oval center/sofa table, so-called 'biscuit' style from the Victorian era of the second half of the 19th century, made of solid walnut. It features a top inlaid with a precious central rosette crafted with inlays of fine woods such as ebony, maple, and boxwood. On all four sides, there are four other stunning inlays in the shape of a compass rose, also in fine woods. The table is supported by a turned central column that connects to four carved and curved legs, ending with carved and inlaid scroll feet, equipped with four retractable brass swivel casters, allowing the table to be moved easily to any corner of the house. This makes it a truly special and unique object. A magnificent piece, of great value, in very good condition, with a patina, and completely original. On the back, partially visible in the last photo, is the signature of the furniture's manufacturing mark (likely W. W. P. O.), which further enhances the piece's importance.
