The third generation of the Supra, launched in 1986, marked a turning point in the history of the Japanese sports car. Indeed, it was now a separate model in the Toyota catalog and was no longer a simple sporty version of the Celica. It was a symbol of the era: powerful engine, "pop-up" headlights, elongated profile with a long hood, and it was rear-wheel drive. A beautiful toy just waiting to seduce its audience. The beautiful Japanese car was a huge success in North America with more than 30,000 cars sold in just one year!
