AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful, large shell Pleuroploca Trapezium — common names: trapezium horse conch or striped fox conch — is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod from the family Fasciolariidae, a spindle-shaped snail, a tulip snail, and their allies. The golden-brown shell is solid and heavy. The spire is of medium length. The apex is usually eroded. The sutures are narrowed. The arms on the whorls are covered with spiral rows of slightly pointed, strong tubercles. The surface is covered with small, brown, spirally incised lines, mainly occurring in pairs. The outer lip is toothed with seven pairs of teeth, located where the paired lines meet the edge. The oval aperture is pale with strong internal ridges. The columella is smooth posteriorly. The siphonal canal is elongated and short. The fasciole is weak. Dimensions — 70/85/175 mm. Highly recommended for collectors and interior decorators.
