Lot of Masonic / FREEMASONRY interest. Masonic Edition of KJV Bible, Masonic books and ritual manuals - a mixture of lodge histories, degree rituals, by-laws, and instructional texts used within various branches of Freemasonry.
c.1860 - Manual of Freemasonry by Richard Carlile - W. Reeves, Charing Cross Road, London - Early Edition (undated, circa 1860). - This volume combines Parts I–III of Carlile’s influential exposition on Freemasonry. It covers the first three degrees and provides an introductory keystone to the Royal Arch, followed by material on the Royal Arch, Knights Templar Druids, and numerous additional degrees including Mark Man, Mark Master, Architect through Grand Architect, Secret and Perfect Masters, various Elect degrees, and the Priestly Order of Israel. The work features Carlile’s explanatory introduction to Masonic science and his free translations of sacred scriptural names. A signature is present at the top of the title page. This is a notable 19th-century freethought/Masonic text distinguished by Carlile’s forthright explanations of rituals, symbolism, and history. Condition note: colour stain affecting the front cover and first 32 pages; see photos for details.
