Description from the seller

Very beautiful artist's book published on the occasion of Marcel Alocco's exhibition at the Galerie Alain Oudin, Paris, in 1989, created in the form of a loperello. Text by Michel Butor accompanied by full-page color reproductions of the artist's compositions.

Limited edition of only 133 copies. This one, numbered 23 and accompanied by a note from Marcel Alocco to Gilbert Lascault: [For Gilbert Lascault, best regards. Alocco].

Loporello with a cardboard cover, title glued to the front cover, and proof on the second side.
In excellent condition. Minimal wear at the cuts; impeccable interior.

Marcel Alocco lives and works in Nice, where he was born in 1937. He collaborates with the Fluxus movement and later critically participates in the development of the Support / Surface aesthetic. He appears in various exhibitions of the Nice School. Since the late 1960s, Alocco has been working on the rapprochement and recognition of cultural images, from the paintings of Lascaux to the logos of P. and T., within a strategy of fragmentation that, through tears, seams, unraveling, and reweaving, involves both the treated images and their support in a single gesture.

Signed; Marcel Alocco; Michel Butor
