AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful Guildfordia yoka shell, the yoka star turban, is a species of deep-sea snail, a marine snail from the family Turbinidae, or turban snails. The shell's color pattern varies from very light brown to violet-brown. Some specimens contain only 6 whorls instead of 7, as in the holotype. The upper whorls are smooth, and after the body whorl, there are only two rows of granules instead of 7 or 8. Towards the keel, it has very irregular, radiating ribs, which leave almost a smooth zone above the keel, with only a few spiral ridges. The base of the shell is less convex than the upper part. Some specimens lack the pink line around the umbilical cord. The aperture is oval, thick, with a nucleus in the outer lower corner. The outer surface is slightly wrinkled, with irregular wrinkles almost parallel to the edge of the operculum base. The nucleus is marked by an olive-colored spot. Dimensions - 20/75/75mm. Highly recommended for collectors and interior decorators.
