Clock savings clock Groot Noordh. Savings clock Groot Noordholl. from 1845. Savings clock made of beautiful mahogany wood. Customers could deposit money into it daily. This allowed them to pay the insurance premium at the end of the month. The clock was emptied each month by an insurance intermediary. The nearly mint condition version of this savings clock is marked with chrome stripes as numbers.
Even the mahogany wood is rare and adds luxury.
The winding mechanism runs well, and the time can also be adjusted.
At the bottom, there is a drawer where 25 cents was collected twice a week. I think a small lock was put on it.
A mechanism to activate the clock was never present in this savings clock, hence a lock that was opened every month.
