Travel Window, a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Shimada Kinsuke, born in Nagano Prefecture in 1900, moved to Tokyo in 1920 after graduating from junior high school and joined the Asahi Shimbun newspaper to become a news photographer. Among those who joined the company in the same period were legendary news photographer Yoshiroku Okubo, who died at the age of 36. in the early 20s, the pioneering photography magazine Asahi Graph was launched, and he worked as a member of the photo team for inclusion in the magazine. after retiring in 1955, he worked as a news In 1956, he published his first photo collection Musashino (Musashino) from Kurashi no Techo, and since then, from the 1960s to the 1970s, he has published many collections of works mainly set in the countryside. This book is his second photographic collection, published in 1960. It contains poetic works in black-and-white and colour from his travels throughout Japan. The binding is by Ryuichi Yamashiro, who was also in charge of Yasuhiro Ishimoto's famous book ‘A Certain Place One Day’.
