Ancient Egyptian scarab in a frame with hieroglyphs, made of steatite and gold, dating to c. 1500 B.C., in excellent condition and measuring 1.7 cm long.
Description from the seller
Inscribed with the signs of life “ankh”, the colour green or growth “papyrus” and the hieroglyph sign for the Red Crown of Lower Egypt.
Size: 1.7 cm L - 11/16 inch
Material: Steatite and gold, total weight= 2.3 grms
Culture: Egypt, c. 1500 B.C.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: Collection Mr. R. S., acquired prior to 2000.
The seller guarantees that this item has been legally acquired & will be legally exported, related documents seen by Catawiki.
This item do not need an export licence within the EU.
