Belle-Vue Brewery is a Belgian brewery in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. It is a branch of InBev Belgium, the Belgian division of AB InBev. The brewery is mainly known for its lambic beers.
Philémon Vanden Stock (1886-1945), a café owner from Itterbeek, decided in 1913 to make his own fond-geuze. He established his gueuze brewery in the center of Brussels and purchased lambic wort from lambic brewers in the city. In 1927, Philémon Vanden Stock bought the still-existing café-brasserie 'Belle-Vue' from 1890 on Paul Jansonlaan in Anderlecht. The name of this café later also became the brand name of the Vanden Stock family's beers and, from 1949, the name of the company.
Constant Vanden Stock was the president and a player of the Belgian football club R.S.C. Anderlecht. The club's stadium is named after him. Constant Vanden Stock also served as coach of the Belgium national football team from 1958 to 1968. He is the father of another club president, Roger Vanden Stock. He is also implicated in the bribery of referee Emilio Guruceta Muro to throw the UEFA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest in 1984. Vanden Stock managed the family brewery Belle-Vue, famous for its Kriek and Lambic, until he sold it to beer giant Interbrew, now InBev.
