Moche ceramic portrait vessel from 400–700 A.D., with TL test and Spanish export license, measuring 31.5 cm, in good condition.
Description from the seller
A large and highly-detailed by-chrome, portrait, stirrup vessel of tremendous realism showing a Moche warrior or cazique with open almond eyes, aquiline nose, and serious face. With elaborate hairdress decorated with geometric patterns (circles and squares ) in the headress. Very fine example. Includes thermoluminescence certificate. | Moche. Peru. 400-700 A.D.
Dimensions: 31,50 cm.
Condition: Some surface wear. Small chip on the mouth of the spout. Restored on the base of the stirrup handle. Good condition.
Provenance: Spanish Private Collection. By descent from familly collection since 1970's.
Notes:
- The piece includes authenticity certificate and TL test.
- The piece will include spanish export license for the European Union.
- If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will
be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months.
According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union
are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the
buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price
and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item
to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
