Maya high culture polychrome terracotta bowl, the Maya-Tonschale, dating to the Late Classic period (ca. 600–900 AD) from the border region Honduras/El Salvador, made of fine clay with red decoration, height 7 cm, diameter 17 cm, in stable, age‑appropriate good condition with minor edge chipping and wear to the painting, from a European private collection and acquired in 1990 at Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer, Munich.
