Art Deco glass vase by Rudolfova Hut, designed by Josef Inwald (N° 11701), amber-coloured clear glass, 30 cm high and 22 cm wide, origin Czechia, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Beautiful Art Deco vase from the Rudolfova Hut glass factory, designed by Josef Inwald.
This vase is finished with sandblasted surfaces and silver-colored paintings. The decorations and paintings are surprisingly still well-preserved, despite the age of the vase.
Rudolfova Hut was a Czech glassworks that played a significant role in the European glass industry around the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. It was located in the Bohemia region (now the Czech Republic), an area with a rich tradition of glass production. The factory was particularly known for its pressed glass and decorative glassware, often in Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
Josef Inwald (1845–1906) was an influential glassmaker of Austro-Hungarian descent. He acquired the Rudolfova Hut factory in the late 19th century, and under his leadership, the company grew into one of the leading producers of pressed glass in Central Europe. His name lives on in the "Inwald" brand, which is primarily associated with elegant Art Deco designs from the 1920s and 1930s.
Reference catalog: No. 11701;
Color: Amber with decorations;
Height: 30 cm;
Condition: Excellent condition with hardly any signs of use!
Any glass fibers and air bubbles are perfectly normal for this production.
