Angeboten wird eine charaktervolle mechanische Kaminuhr aus der Art-Deco-Ära (ca. 1925–1935). Dieses Stück besticht durch seine streng geometrische Formsprache und die hochwertige Materialkombination, die starke Einflüsse der sogenannten „Amsterdamer Schule“ aufweist.

Das Gehäuse: Der Korpus ist aus Holz gefertigt (vermutlich Eiche/Eichenfurnier) und besticht durch ein interessantes Furnierbild. Die Front ist diagonal gemasert, was den Blick auf das Zentrum lenkt. Die abgerundeten Seitenkanten verleihen der Uhr eine für die Zeit typische „Stromlinien“-Optik.

Das Zifferblatt: Ein absoluter Blickfang ist das große, achteckige Zifferblatt aus patiniertem Messing/Bronze. Die Ziffern sind erhaben geprägt und in einer kantigen, typografisch ansprechenden Art-Deco-Schriftart gehalten. Die originalen Zeiger mit ihren rot abgesetzten Spitzen bilden einen schönen Kontrast und sorgen für gute Ablesbarkeit.

Technische Details:

    Uhrwerk: Mechanisches Messing-Pendelwerk.

    Schlagwerk: Schlag auf Gongstäbe (angenehmer Klang).

    Das Holzgehäuse hat eine warme Farbe mit altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren, aber keinen groben Beschädigungen.

    Das Messing des Zifferblatts zeigt eine leichte, natürliche Patina.

    Auf der Rückseite der Holztür befindet sich noch ein alter Inventaraufkleber (Nr. 1318), was auf die Geschichte des Objekts hindeutet.
