AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Important Sorrento box from the early 1900s.
Italian production from the early 1900s, which revives the style of the early 1800s, widespread in Southern Italy with the production of furniture and antique objects that are quite refined in terms of wood and inlays, known as mobili smith.
The large box measures 15 cm wide, 25 cm long, and 7 cm high; it features a lace-like inlay on the top and a slightly domed central part on the sides, also decorated with inlays, four feet, and a working music box.
It is characterized by the use of three types of wood in walnut, honey, and brown colors, and it is a set of hieroglyphs.
The upper part is, in fact, in the central section inlaid with hieroglyphs of bells that resemble leaves and small birds. All the inlay is framed by a line that is always inlaid.
I would say a carefully crafted box from every point of view. A lace of inlay work, created by skilled cabinetmakers. The same inlay patterns are featured on all four sides.
Inside, there is a mirror and space to place jewelry, with a quilted mattress at the base, diagonally worked and pink in color. It is intact and extends for 16 cm. There is also a high, smooth section, also covered, just like the mirror, which is surrounded by a blue cord.
It differs from the usual rectangular boxes because it is slightly rounded on the sides, with a base featuring a line of alternating inlays in dark and light walnut colors. This highlights the care taken by the cabinetmaker in creating it.
The presence of the small feet attests to the care and importance of the box. I had it along with the collection of boxes I am selling.
It is in good condition considering it is over a century old. The photos are more illustrative than words in showing the condition of the box.
A very important object to use as a decorative piece in any environment.
They were part of my ancestors' collection of boxes, and because of their large number, I am selling them to give them new life.
My ancestors considered the house a business card and always had very special objects made, like this one.
Its size and the condition it is in determine its value.
I use private couriers for shipping to ensure that the Lotto arrives sooner and to have double packaging, given the importance and delicacy of the item. The package is bulky and will be placed in a cardboard box with polystyrene.
Shipping costs vary depending on the geographic zone: Zone 1 or 2, which includes the United Kingdom and Switzerland; Zone 3, which covers Eastern European countries such as Norway, Malta, and Cyprus; and the rest of the world.
The customs duties will be borne by the buyer.
