Wall shelf unit (2) - Gilt wood - Of large dimension

Really fantastic and imposing pair of wall consoles, all made of wood handcrafted by highly skilled Portuguese artisans in the early 20th century.

They are approximately 100 years old, and are covered with a rich layer of aged gold leaf that gives them a unique patina.

Both are in very good condition; they were highly valued pieces.

I have sold dozens of consoles here on Catawiki, and I dare say I've never had a pair as impressive and impactful as this one.

Each one weighs 6 kg.
