Description from the seller
General
Up for auction is a beautiful 1930 Ford Model A European Roadster, a body style that is among the most sought-after and collectible within the Model A line. This example features a unique, custom-made all-steel European body, considerably more exclusive than the standard American bodies. This rarity makes this model particularly popular with collectors and enthusiasts.
This is a rare Roadster with an all-steel European body, a configuration that is extremely difficult to find. The vehicle was fully restored in 2024, including the bodywork, paint, interior, and details. The elegant color combination and the neat finish make it particularly attractive. The vehicle is equipped with a single spare tire on the rear, which is typical of European models. The overall presentation is sleek and show-worthy, which is clearly evident in the finish and the meticulous restoration.
The car is finished in a stylish Bordeaux Red metallic paint, combined with black polished fenders and a full cognac-colored leather interior. In 2024, the Roadster was fully professionally restored by a certified coachbuilder. It was rebuilt entirely from steel, meticulously aligned, and finished to show quality, both technically and visually. This makes the vehicle suitable for museum collections, event presentations, and serious long-term investments.

Technical:
The Ford Model A starts instantly, and the engine runs smoothly, as expected from a properly tuned four-cylinder. The braking and shifting feel are consistent with the original driving experience of this model. The body is solid, completely rust-free, and mechanically in excellent condition. The car comes with four new tires and is ready for tours, events, or immediate presentation. The Roadster is powered by a 3.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an output of approximately 40 hp and approximately 157 Nm of torque. The car has a three-speed manual transmission without synchronization and rear-wheel drive.
Bodywork & Lacquer Work
The paintwork has a deep, smooth finish, without any distracting imperfections. The interior is completely reupholstered in luxurious leather and harmoniously complements the bodywork. The car makes a particularly presentable and well-maintained impression, making it suitable for shows, club presentations, and exhibitions. In reality, the vehicle looks even more impressive than the photos.
Origin & Documentation
The Roadster has a US title and all import duties have already been paid, making it ready for European registration. Its quality and originality make it particularly suitable for a high-end collection, an investment portfolio, or participation in classic car events.
Viewing
The car is even more impressive in person than in the photos. Viewing is easily arranged through Catawiki. The location is Enter, the Netherlands.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
